Compassionate, neuroaffirming support for children, young people, adults, families and professionals.
Welcome to Strengthening Our Relationships Together (SORT)
At different points in life, we all need spaces where we can feel understood, supported and connected.
Whether you're navigating family challenges, neurodiversity, adoption, fostering, emotional distress, relationship difficulties or significant life transitions, you don't have to face them alone.
At SORT, we work alongside children, young people, adults, families and professionals to strengthen relationships, deepen understanding and create meaningful, lasting change. Through therapy, consultation, training and specialist support, our multidisciplinary team helps individuals, families and organisations better understand challenges, build on strengths and create the conditions for connection, resilience and growth.
We believe that people flourish when they feel understood, connected and valued.
Our experiences are shaped not only by who we are, but by our relationships, nervous systems, environments, communities and life experiences. We recognise and celebrate the diversity of human experience, including neurodivergent ways of thinking, feeling and engaging with the world.
Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, diagnoses or behaviours, we work collaboratively to understand the whole picture — recognising both strengths and challenges, and exploring how individuals, families and environments can better support one another.
We believe the goal is not to make people fit the world around them, but to help create environments where people can thrive as themselves.
Grounded in the SORT Framework, our approach draws together an understanding of relationships, nervous system regulation, identity, strengths and belonging. By developing a shared understanding of the factors shaping a person's experiences, we help people strengthen relationships, build resilience, develop confidence in their strengths and move towards greater connection and belonging.
As a virtual multidisciplinary service, we provide specialist support, consultation and training to individuals, families, schools and organisations across the UK. The SORT Framework is a neuroaffirming, relationship-centred approach that helps people make sense of their experiences through the lens of regulation, relationships, environment and belonging.
