Who we help

So, who can we support? We can help any adult who is responsible for a child aged 2-21 years old, whatever capacity this may be in. We offer children and young people individual support alongside parent/carer and family interventions.

Some of the concerns we work with are:

  • Anxiety, separation difficulties and low mood

  • Difficulties with regulating emotions

  • Low level self-harm

  • Trauma

  • Low self-esteem, bullying, or body image concerns

  • Difficulty adapting to life events or transitions (divorce, changing schools, moving, arrival of a sibling, etc.)

  • ADHD, Autism or other Neurodevelopmental presentations

  • Eating difficulties

  • Difficulties arising from LGBTQ+ identity

  • Behavioural challenges (anger, aggression, violence, controlling and/or coercive behaviour)

  • Social skills (sharing, waiting, taking turns)

  • Escalating behaviour from parent/carer or child

  • Disconnect between parent and child relationship

  • Loss and grief

  • Co-parenting difficulties from divorce or parental separation

Gay Family

We are passionate about working with all formations of families and support, including carers and grandparents. We also consider the importance of involving supportive networks of friends, school and the wider community where needed.

We offer parent support and Family Therapy sessions to parents who are co-parenting both together and separately. This can include family interventions, NVR and other parenting programmes.

Family Time

Although we are a relationally based service, we gladly work with individual adults too. We work with both single mums, dads, carers and couples who need support with parenting. We know that no one exists within a vacuum- that we exist in relation to others.

We offer individual sessions for children and young people alongside family work or NVR, as the real goal is to strengthen family relationships and to improve connections.
